For Children who are enrolled in Kindergarten from September 1, 2010 and are interested in art making. Through art activities, storytelling, problem solving and references to artists through history, children’s imaginations, self expression, and self esteem are cultivated. Drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media will all be part of the curriculum. Exploration and proper handling of the materials will be emphasized, with children being encouraged and guided through the process and completion of many finished projects. An emphasis on how something is designed and then made will also be introduced each term.
